On January 19, 1959, a young songwriter named Berry Gordy borrowed $800 from his family and founded his company, Motown Records. The distinctive sound brought together pop and soul, black and white, and young and old. Learn more about the music and the man that changed America pop culture.

Backstage Scoop is a 20 – 30 minute program held in MOFAC before select performances. Backstage Scoop begins at 6 p.m. Free admission to all ticket holders. Seating is available on a first-come, first served basis. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.
