Last season Michigan jazz artists, Terry Lower and Edye Evans Hyde, had the audience standing on their feet demanding repeated encores. Lower, who studied his craft at Berklee College of Music in Boston, swings hard and has a great command of the keyboard. Honored as Michigan’s Jazz Musician of the Year, he’s a dazzling soloist and superb accompanist. Edye Evans Hyde has been singing jazz, blues and pop music for over 30 years in Los Angeles, Asia, Europe and her home state of Michigan. She combines scat singing with a lyrical swankiness that makes her a must-see performer.
